How often is hero, item, and patch data updated?
Ancient Tome for Dota 2 dynamically fetches the latest hero attributes, facet trees, ability stats, and balance changes directly from the Dota 2 official servers. When a new patch drops, the app receives the latest data on your next refresh.
Does Ancient Tome work without an internet connection?
Yes! All hero details, item recipes, and patch note entries are automatically cached locally on your device storage. If you lose internet access, the app seamlessly serves cached data so you can continue reading abilities, stats, and builds offline.
How do I change the app language?
You can change the language at any time by tapping the Language selector icon (🌐) in the top-right corner of the navigation bar. The app supports English, Ukrainian, Spanish, Chinese, Russian, Portuguese, German, and more.
Are hero facets, innate abilities, and Aghanim's upgrades included?
Yes. Every hero breakdown includes their innate abilities, available Facet modifiers, Aghanim's Scepter upgrades, Aghanim's Shard enhancements, and the complete 10/15/20/25 level talent tree.
What devices and iOS versions are supported?
Ancient Tome is designed and optimized for:
- iPhone: iOS 16.0 or later (including iPhone 14 Pro, 15, 16 Pro Dynamic Island and full-bleed displays)
- iPad: iPadOS 16.0 or later with multi-column layout support
- Mac: macOS 13.0 or later on Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4) Macs
Does the app collect or track my personal data?
No. We respect your privacy. Ancient Tome does not require account creation, does not use analytics SDKs, does not display advertisements, and never tracks your activity.
