Ancient Tome for Dota 2 ("the App") is an unofficial, fan-made reference application designed to provide information on Dota 2 heroes, items, and game balance patch notes for iOS and iPadOS devices. This policy describes how data is handled when you use the app.

1. Data We Collect

None. The app does not require user accounts, does not provide user logins, and does not integrate any third-party advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, or user behavior analytics frameworks.

2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

• Language Preferences: Saved locally using standard OS local storage APIs (such as shared_preferences / UserDefaults) so your preferred language persists across sessions.
• Offline Cache: Public game information, hero stats, item recipes, and images are cached locally on your device to ensure fast offline loading. This cache remains strictly local on your device and is never transmitted to any private servers.

3. Network Requests & Third Parties

To render the latest game data and high-definition hero renders, the app makes standard runtime HTTP requests to public endpoints:

• dota2.com and Valve's Content Delivery Network (steamstatic.com) — for game data, artwork, and video clips owned by Valve Corporation.
• fonts.gstatic.com (Google Fonts) — to load typography styles.

These network requests connect your device directly to Valve and Google servers and are governed by their respective privacy policies. We do not operate intermediate servers that log or monitor your IP address or requests.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

Because we do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on remote servers, we do not retain any of your personal information. All locally cached game data and application preferences can be deleted at any time by clearing the application data or uninstalling the app from your device.

5. Children’s Privacy

The app does not collect personal information from any users, including children under the age of 13.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be reflected with a revised "Last updated" date at the top of this document.
